Porcelaine Limousine Limoges Porcelains     P55

After Gibus left Gibus & Redon to become mayor of Limoges, P. Jouhanneaud and his son joined with Joseph Redon in 1906 to form La Porcelaine Limousine, which continued operation of the Redon factory built in Faubourg des Casseaux (Limoges) in 1872. Jouhanneaud's nephew, George Magne, became a partner in 1912 and took over the company in 1918. The factory closed in 1938.

Alexandre Chastagner repaired and reopened the factory in 1945-46 and expanded in 1958-64. In 1998 the factory was bought by a company which was liquidated in 2002, and the factory burned in 2003.
