Chamart Limoges Porcelains
c35
Chamart takes its name from its founder CHArles MARTine (d 1996), who began importing Limoges into the USA in early 1950s and became incorporated in 1955. In the early 1960s Chamart was the first to import Limoges boxes into USA. Chamart hand paints all its boxes, using no decals. Its blanks are made by other Limoges companies, but many of the models are exclusive to Chamart. Chamart Limoges boxes are of high quality, and the company remains in production, with a showroom in NYC.
