Balleroy Freres Limoges Porcelains     b07

Brothers Henri (decorator) and Antoine (modeller) Balleroy were from a family of Limoges porcelain painters. In 1901 Henri joined a Limoges porcelain factory in partnership with Mavaleix and Mandavy. In 1908 Henri left, joined with Antoine, and took a temporary location; then in 1912 H.A. Balleroy Freres took over a Limoges factory established in 1860.

Balleroy Freres produced mainly decorative pieces of high quality and tablewares. Henri closed the factory in 1937.

Julien BALLEROY & Cie was a Limoges porcelain factory opened in 1914. Any relationship between the Balleroys is unknown. The porcelain mark said Limoges JB&Cie France within a wavy-line circle.

It is doubtful the Balleroy Freres made any Limoges boxes.
